If the DV failed, you would have heard it quite clearly even with the standard airbox setup. nbsp The induction cone will amplify it even with a fully working one.
I could hear a fairly obvious off the throttle '#039noise'#039 I have also removed the engine/bonnet insulation as it w

Hey Interlagos Plaid Family,
o7'#039 GTI, I have a case to solve with the STEERING COLUMN. The turn signal stock, wiper stock, horn, and STEERING WHEEL BUTTONS do not work. It started with the turn signal stock not working intermittently, then everything listed above stopped working. About 6+ months prior, I replaced the ignition lock due to the key sticking (all above item

I’ve just picked up some Ed30 heated seats for my car which didn’t have them from factory. Reading the last reply is there any reason not to get seat looms and panel from a breaker rather than kufatec type?

There is a way to check that the chain is in tolerance using VCDS/Obdeleven. Might be worth doing this first?
Ahhh okay, I didn't realise there was a way to check beforehand! I maybe need to invest in VCDS/OBD, can anyone buy those and assume they just use a license?

Do you have an oil cooler/heat exchanger, wonder if thats your cause of oil in coolant
I did wonder this as I stripped both engines I wasn't sure which cooler I put on it but that's definitely the cheapest option to try I'll swap it and then flush the system to see what happens.

There are three generations off the top of my head with regards to door modules and being able to control power fold mirrors, so you have to get the modules that match your generation.
The same issue applies to other parts in the Mk5 like steering wheel angle sensors (gen 1 and 2 are on the wheel, then gen3 is on the rack), the cooling system plumbing etc etc

Thank you for the reply.
I managed to find a local breaker yard with 2 modules so I got the cars details and found it came factory fitted with power fold and entry light which is what I have fitted.
Part numbers on these are 1K0959701N / 1K0959793K, the other module is the same

The fact it can be jump started rules out starter motor, i'#039m wondering if you have a bad earth strap that goes from the gearbox to the chassis.
If it starts with a jump, it'#039s using the earth from the other vehicle etc. Worth a try getting jump lead from body to engine/box and trying it, do
